Banks Road/Trethowan Avenue Intersection, Ocean Grove
Construction of a new intersection to provide a dedicated right turn lane into Trethowan Avenue.
Scope of Works:
- Stormwater drainage
- Road pavement construction
- Kerb and channel
- Footpath
To facilitate the works, Banks Road will be closed to traffic from 2nd October until 31st October. The closure will be between Shell Road and Coastal Boulevard. A signed detour will be in place.
Barwon Heads Rd/ Harkness Blvd/Harriott Rd Intersection, Armstrong Creek
The works will provide an additional leg to the existing Barwon Heads Rd/Central Boulevard intersection to create a signalised crossroad. The existing intersection at Barwon Heads Road and Harriott Road will also be closed.
Works will include demolition and removal of existing structures (kerb & channel, footpath, drainage, traffic islands tec.), widening of the existing road, drainage installation, K&C, asphalt resurfacing, line marking and new traffic signals.
The final stages of work at the intersection of Harriott Road and Harkness Boulevard will be commencing on 22nd October. To enable the works to be completed, Harriott Road will be closed between Barwon Heads Road and Purity Way until 19th December. Traffic will need to detour via Boundary Road.
