High Street Culvert Upgrade, Drysdale

The existing drainage culvert under High Street, Drysdale, just north of De Burgh Road, is being upgraded. The project will deliver increased flood protection to upstream properties that are at risk during significant rainfall events.
The project involves removal of the existing single cell culvert and installation of a new triple cell culvert. Following installation of the new culvert, reinstatement works will be completed including road pavement, kerb & channel, footpath, guardrail, fencing and balustrading.
To facilitate the works, a full closure of High Street will be in place from 27th January 2026 until 2nd April 2026. The closure will be just north of De Burgh Road with a signed detour via De Burgh Road, Princess Street and Eversley Street. Access to properties in High Street, between Eversley Street and De Burgh Road, will be via the detour route.
During the closure there will be no pedestrian access through the worksite and the bus stops between De Burgh Road and Eversley Street will be closed.
